Speaker: Ranjan Ramchandani - "On Safari with an Olympus Visionary"

Ranjan Ramchandani, a PSA member, will take us on a virtual safari in the Masai Mara, Kenya. Ranjan, who has been conducting photography workshops and taking guests on safaris for almost two decades, will tell us how to plan for a safari trip, what to pack and take us into the wilderness on this virtual journey from start to finish, with slides and images. The Masai Mara, situated in south-west Kenya is one of Africa’s greatest Wildlife Reserves. It is a photographer’s and naturalist’s paradise, with abundant elephants, buffa- los, giraffes, lions and cheetahs alongside the migratory wildebeest. Ranjan will conclude his presentation with some unique images from around the world.

Ranjan Ramchandani (Olympus Visionary & Brand Ambassador) is a Singapore based published photographer focusing on travel and wildlife. He calls himself a lifelong student of photography who does not like being categorized in any one genre. Ranjan has recently accepted the position of Asia/Africa Editor for the recently launched magazine in the United States - The Wild Lens.

He has honed his skills through photography expeditions around the globe including major wildlife destinations. He is also a graduate from the New York Institute of Photography.

Ranjan has thereafter been covered and published in various media in India and the US –  Sanctuary Asia, Green Leaf, BanyoPran, Outdoor Photographer and recently The Wild Lens.

Speaker: Denise Silva - “Life at 66˚ and North”

Explore the beauty and stark landscapes of Alaska, Iceland and Greenland. Learn about these amazing destinations, the vast landscapes, the people, the challenges, and the sheer beauty of traveling to these remote locations. This presentation will inspire you to brave the cold weather and breathe the fresh crisp air of the arctic.

Denise Silva’s interest in photography started when her grandmother would share images from her travels to Egypt and Africa for safari. The evenings watching slideshows set the seed. 35-years later those seeds took root and inspired Denise to embrace photography and more specifically travel photography and Road Runner Photography Tours was born.

Denise has been recognized as one of the Top 200 Women Photographers Who Inspire by Nature Photo Guides and has had multiple articles published in Extraordinary Vision (EV) Magazine, and is a featured artist in Breakthrough Photography’s Guide to Night Sky Photography

Her passion is to share her knowledge of photography, while introducing people to the amazing landscapes, wildlife, and people all over the world.

She has contributed multiple articles to Fujifilm X/GFX USA website and has been interviewed by Peggy Farren, of Understanding Photography, on Overcoming the Challenges of Street Photography (Check the interview out here).

Denise embraces the idea that everyday above ground is a good one, so get out and enjoy! Join her and her team for your next adventure
